Loving the moment you're in...
These little moments... these sweet little pockets in
the day
I get to spend just a few minutes with each of my kids
One-on-one is just bliss.
I can’t help but think “this is exactly why I’m here on this earth”
and “I wish everyday was like this”.
I remember when I had no time for this because we simply weren’t home.

I remember when I had no time for this because we simply weren’t home.
Every day was me and my four kids rushing around
to get ready at 5 am and me ushering everyone out the door.
With very little time for even eye contact just to be drop each kid off to school
in a mad race through three school zones.
Constantly trying to remember to smile while I wished everyone a wonderful day
Then feeling like flooring it like sponge bob
(within speed limits of course) to get to work on time.
Do you feel like this too??

Then one day I realized something quite spectacular.
It only takes one moment to make a child feel loved.
Just a moment to make them feel like the most special person in the world.
You really only need one if you can catch it. Just one.
The funny thing is you don’t even have to look for them.
Children serve them up to you like fireflies in the night sky.
You just have to try and remember to stop and look and listen.
Just once a day for each if that’s all you can manage.

Do you feel like your days as a working parent leave you
feeling like this?
